Tamba's home, now lovingly reimagined as Singapore's newest African restaurant.

Tamba is evocative of African earth and terracotta, welcoming guests into a fascinating world where every detail tells a story.

From the natural elegance of the smooth clay vessels and stunning contemporary art, to the carved Tuareg-staff door handles, every aspect has been carefully chosen to convey Tamba’s graceful energy, flair and pzazz.

The two-storey conserved shophouse reflects a two-year journey of research and curation to encapsulate the lively atmosphere of West African luxury, blended skillfully with the comforting essence of home.

Interior

Tamba’s home, lovingly reimagined as a West African restaurant in Singapore. Set within a conserved shophouse over two floors, every detail reflects two years of research and curation. Smooth clay vessels. Carved Tuareg door handles. Warm tones of African earth and terracotta to greet you at the entrance.

While deeply rooted in West Africa, Tamba reflects a life lived across cultures. The space is layered with art gathered over time, where photography by Malick Sidibé hangs near a lush vertical garden by Patrick Blanc. Each piece adds another story to the house.

The result is a home shaped by memory and travel, by curiosity and cultural exchange. Unmistakably its own.

“Tamba embraces a very particular West African joie de vivre, and we have endeavoured to create not just a dining space but the embodiment of community, hospitality, and warmth.”
